Hi there! My name is Milo, I am French 🇫🇷 and I’ve been living in Brazil for the past 4 years 🇧🇷
In 2022, for the first time in my life, I started to make big travel plans and read a lot of travel blogs. But something kept bothering me as I read these blog posts written by digital nomads or serial travelers: how can I trust their tips or itineraries… when they barely spent a week there? 🧐
Don’t get me wrong: anyone sharing their experience is valid – but I was looking for something different than what I could already find on TripAdvisor.
I already knew about the main touristic points I had to check off my list. When reading personal blog posts, I was looking for local tips, hidden gems, and actual reviews from people who experienced local life.
And that’s how I thought of miloinrio.com ☺️
My carioca friends had been raving for years now about how I know Rio better than them and that gringos always know the hidden gems!
And I agree with them! Foreigners living in your country are usually the ones who are the most curious about their surroundings. As someone who lived in Paris for the first 19 years of her life… I have never been to the top of the Eiffel Tower 🤯 While I’ve been three times already to the top of the Corcovado, trying each time a different path 😂
That’s the promise of this blog: local tips from a local gringa! ☺️
